COMED RESIDENTIAL UTILITY REBATE FORM

Training Requirement: Starting January 1, 2025, all contractors participating in the ComEd Home Heating and Cooling program must have 30% of installers and service technicians complete the following heat pump training to be eligible to offer incentives. Only companies that have completed the modules and the manufacturer-based training will be listed on the ComEd website.

Note: If a contractor sells a heat pump in January and doesn’t have all the training requirements done, they will have 60 days from install to complete the training in order to receive the rebates.

As of March 1, 2026, the ComEd Home Heating & Cooling offering is changing our incentive structure. The incentives will now be split into tiers by tonnage level.

Tonnage is based off heating capacity only. Heat Capacity (BTU per Hours) / 12000 = Heating Tons.

  • 5.2 SEER2/9.4EER2/8.1 HSPF2 < 2.5 tons - Up to $900
  • 5.2 SEER2/9.4EER2/8.1 HSPF2 >= 2.5 tons - Up to $1,400
  • 17 SEER2/9.4EER2/8.5 HSPF2 < 2.5 tons - Up to $1,500
  • 17 SEER2/9.4EER2/8.5 HSPF2 >= 2.5 tons - Up to $2,000

Ductless and MixedUse Mini-Split Heat Pumps


  • 17 SEER2/9.4EER2/9 HSPF2 < 1.5 tons - Up to $500
  • 17 SEER2/9.4EER2/9 HSPF2 >= 1.5 tons - Up to $1,000

Please note: Rebates are subject to change per ComEd guidelines – see qualifying equipment document for requirements.

We are partnered with ComEd on their program to offer utility rebates on central air conditioners, ductless and heat pumps. You will now make a claim with Munch’s Supply and we will file for the rebate on your behalf. This eliminates the consumer having to fill out paperwork and necessary documents that were required in the past. Using the ComEd rebate form below, fill in the required information to receive the rebates. You will receive a credit on your account when ComEd processes the request. The average time is four weeks from date of entry.
 
Please note: This program only pertains to ductless mini-splits and heat pumps through ComEd; all other utility rebates need to be claimed through the utility provider.
